Other Activites

This is a new project undertaken by the organization from 2006 it self in 88 villages. The programme includes water-shed development, development of Infra-structure facility, awareness progarmmes, health care, Income generating training programmes etc.

There are 5 Sanskar Raths is operation. They reguarlary visit remote tribal areas and show video films on different subjects. The response and the impact of this project encourages us to put in operation at-least one Sanskar Rath in every district. This also helps the public to get information in regard to welfare activities of the State/Central Government.

The teachers and workers get training regularly. One week training camps are organized at different places in two states for workers and teachers of Sewa Bharati. The main aim is to appraise the participants about different projects run by Sewa Bharti. their objectives and spirit behind running these projects. The experts on cultural, Social, Economic problems of Tribal, human behaviour and human relation guide the participants.

In summer and other vacations Sewa Bharati organizes personality development camps for boys and girls of a certain age group. Apart from local boys/girls, boys and girls from other tribal hostels also participate. Experts from different fields are invited to give lecture, demo and to participate in Workshops; where the skills learnt are: Art and Handicraft, dramatics, elocution, performing on stage (songs, dance).

In order to create a sense of friendship, one-ness and integration in the society, cultural programmes are organized from time to time and also on important occasions.

In Bhopal, Sant Ravidas Jayanti is celebrated every year on a large scale covering all Sewa Bastis. In the past eminent personalities like Maha Mahim Governer of M.P. Dr. Bhai Mahavir, Chairperson of Central Social Welfare Board Smt. Mridula Sinha, State representatives of UNICEF Dr. Kulkarni Dr. Satynarayan Jatia and several Ministers from Central and Provincial Governments have graced the occasions by their presence.

Cultural programmes, lectures, rallies etc. are also arranged on the days of National Importance, such as Independence day, Republic Day, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti etc.

In addition, festivals like Ramnavmi, Navratri, Ganesh Pujan are also organized locally in Sewa Bastis. boys and girls from Sanskar Kendras present cultural programmes and members of Bhajan Mandalis recite Bhajans and Songs, during these festivals.
