Health Care Projects

Aimed at providing health-care at the door-steps of the patient Sewa Bharati has currently pressed into service 5 medical-vans in the tribal areas/villages. A qualified doctor (Ayurved, Homeopath) accompanies every van. The check-up and medicines are free. On an average 1000/1200 people per day get the benefit of the scheme.

OTS teachers are given training in administering the medicines (homeopathic or Ayurvedic) provided in a kit.

There is a side benefit of this activity viz villagers have become aware of importance of preventive measures against common diseases and slowly following hygienic way of life.

In Agar a Hospital is coming up.  Hospital Building is being constructed with the financial support of the public/Charitable Trusts etc. This will have all modern equipments and facilities.

For Sewa Basti Dwellers, health care centres have been established in Bhopal. At each centre qualified doctors attend to the patients on fixed days and time and give free consultation and medicines.

This is a Government sponsored scheme being operated in remote tribal area viz.Sondwa Block of Jhabua District,Bhimpur Block of Betul District and Mawai Block of Mandla District.  MBBS qualified Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists and other required  staff are associated with the scheme. Build on a mini truck chasis and has all have all medical  equipments. This also provides facility of screening vedio films for health awarness.

  1. Annapurna Dal-Bhat Kendra :- These centre are started at district Hospitals of Guna, Bilaspur and Mandla, where cooked food is provided to attendants and patients  at the nominal cost.            
  2. Free Medicine distribution Centre at Bhopal, where prescribed medicines are given to patients free of cost.
  3. At two centres, facilities are made available for boiling water and milk of the patients.

Ambulance services are available at Shivpuri and Bilaspur to carry serious patients to the hospital for necessary treatment.

In this national drive for preventing polio Sewa Bharati is participating, actively. It has to its credit the achievement of administering pulse dose to highest number of kids in Bhopal. It is noteworthy that handicapped boys and girls from our hostel were active in appealing parents to give their wards the pulse dose.
